Title Boundary Re-Establishment

A Re‑establishment survey involves remarking existing boundaries.

This aids the construction of fences and buildings etc. If you have concerns with the location of your property boundaries, a re-establishment survey will define the correct location.

The process of a Re‑establishment survey includes:

  • Searching historical survey documents
  • A field survey
  • Calculations using current survey and historical surveys
  • The boundaries can then be marked on the ground
  • A Plan of Re‑establishment must be prepared and submitted to Land Use Victoria as per Surveying (Cadastral Surveys) Regulations 2015 - Schedule 4, Regulation 16
